~ Kingsville, TX- Governor Greg Abbott has recently announced the reappointment of Manny Salazar to the Lone Star Workforce of the Future Fund Advisory Board. Salazar, who currently serves as the Economic and Planning Director for the City of Kingsville, will continue to serve on the board until September 1, 2027.

The Lone Star Workforce of the Future Fund Advisory Board is responsible for making recommendations to the Texas Workforce Commission on awarding grants from the fund. With his extensive experience in economic and planning matters, Salazar is a valuable asset to the board.

In addition to his role on the advisory board, Salazar also serves on various other boards and committees. These include the USS Kingsville Commissioning Committee Legacy Board, Kingsville Independent School District and Riviera ISD Career and Technical Education Advisory Boards, District Education Improvement Committee for Ricardo ISD, Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering Dean's Leadership Board, and Maintenance and Modernization Board for Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Salazar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. His previous experience includes serving on the Product Development and Small Business Incubator Board. With his diverse background and expertise, Salazar is well-equipped to continue making valuable contributions to the Lone Star Workforce of the Future Fund Advisory Board.
