Texas: Governor Abbott Reappoints Uhl To Jobs And Education For Texans Grant Program Advisory Board

~ In a recent press release, Governor Greg Abbott announced the reappointment of Robert Uhl to the Jobs and Education for Texans Grant Program Advisory Board. Uhl, a resident of Farmers Branch, will serve on the board for a term set to expire on June 19, 2027.

The Jobs and Education for Texans Grant Program Advisory Board works closely with the Texas Workforce Commission to award grant funds for the development of new career and technical education programs at public junior colleges, public technical institutes, and independent school districts.

Uhl brings a wealth of experience to the board as an attorney at Allen Boone Humphries Robinson LLP. In this role, he serves as general counsel to special districts across Texas. He is also a member of several professional organizations including the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, District of Columbia Bar, and The Federalist Society.

In addition to his legal work, Uhl is dedicated to giving back to his community. He provides pro bono legal aid to veterans and in religious liberty cases. He is also a member of the FBI's InfraGuard program which aims to protect critical infrastructure and the North Texas Crime Commission.

Uhl has been serving on the board since 2024 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. With his extensive background in law and commitment to public service, Uhl is well-equipped to continue making valuable contributions to the Jobs and Education for Texans Grant Program Advisory Board.
