Governor Greg Abbott proudly announced this achievement during a press conference at the Governor's Mansion in Austin.

Site Selection Executive Vice President Ron Starner echoed this sentiment, declaring that it is time to recognize Texas as a "dynasty in economic development." He praised Texas for not only winning the Governor's Cup but also surpassing previous records with over 1,400 business location and expansion projects in 2025. These projects brought in a staggering $75 billion in capital investment and created more than 42,000 new jobs.
