The Kryder Law Group, LLC Recovers $250,000 in Two Pedestrian Crosswalk Accident Settlements
TelAve News/10904580
The Midwestern personal injury firm founded by Attorney Andrew S. Kryder announces two pedestrian crosswalk accident settlements—$150,000 for a young woman struck by an uninsured driver and $100,000 for a pedestrian injured in a hit-and-run in Park Ridge, Illinois.
EVANSTON, Ill. - TelAve -- Being struck in a crosswalk is frightening and when the driver is uninsured or flees the scene, victims can feel like they have nowhere to turn. The Kryder Law Group, LLC today announced the resolution of two such cases totaling $250,000, demonstrating that injured victims still have a path to fair compensation.
In the first case, a young woman was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Clark and Orrington in Evanston when she was struck by an uninsured driver. She suffered a scalp laceration that required a trip to the ER by ambulance. Because the driver carried no insurance, we pursued an uninsured motorist claim. At first the client believed there was no way to recover compensation. However, the lawyers at The Kryder Law Group recognized the path to recovery and filed the appropriate claim. The case settled for the full policy limit of $150,000.

In the second case, a client was in a crosswalk in Park Ridge, Illinois, when she was struck by a driver who fled the scene. The hit-and-run caused a fractured jaw and additional facial injuries that required surgery. Here again, the client was unsure how to pursue a claim because the identity of the driver was unknown. The firm pursued recovery through the client's uninsured motorist coverage, and the case settled for the full policy limit of $100,000.
"Having a lawyer investigate your case is extremely important. Both of these cases illustrate how a faultless injured person never would have received compensation unless they called a lawyer to discuss their options," said Andrew S. Kryder, Founding Partner. "We meet our clients at some of the hardest moments of their lives. Our job is to carry that weight for them and work to make things better. These two results demonstrate the work we do every day."
The Kryder Law Group has a strong track record of six-figure recoveries for injured pedestrians—including cases built on negligence per se, where a driver's violation of traffic law is itself proof of fault.
