Magician Dick Brookz tells of conflict with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Thursday, December 11
SCRANTON, Pa. - Dec. 5, 2014 - TelAve -- The Travel Channel's Mysteries At The Museum features renowned magician and Houdini expert Dick Brookz on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 3 PM as their lead story. Season 7, Episode 4. The Houdini Museum has a veritable treasure trove of objects related to the performer, such as handcuffs, posters, photographs, and a collection of locks. The most haunting artifact at the Houdini Museum is a piece from the magician's private home, a centerpiece in his 4 story house, a large portrait of his mother. TV host Don Wildman tells of the captivating portrait of Houdini's mother, Cecelia Weiss, wearing a high-necked, black gown and a stoic expression. This portrait was a catalyst for a bitter conflict that involved Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, that tormented the great illusionist right up until his untimely death. It can also be seen on Youtube.com
