CHARLESTON, W.Va. - TelAve -- Charleston, WV — Teen wellness advocate and Miss Shenandoah Teen 2026, Zoey Coleman, has received an official proclamation from the Governor of West Virginia declaring February as Fuel Your Future Teens Month across the state.

The proclamation recognizes the impact of Fuel Your Future Teens, a youth-led wellness initiative focused on movement, confidence, and healthy habits for children and teens. The initiative encourages young people to prioritize both physical and mental well-being while developing leadership skills and community involvement.

"This proclamation means so much to me because it shows that youth voices matter," said Coleman. "Fuel Your Future Teens was created to help kids and teens feel confident, supported, and inspired to take care of their health."

Coleman is the first Afro-Latina to hold the title of Miss Shenandoah Teen. Through her platform, she continues to advocate for youth wellness, representation, and empowerment throughout West Virginia.

Fuel Your Future Teens will continue its mission through community outreach, events, and partnerships throughout the month of February and beyond.
