SOUTH WHITLEY, Ind. - TelAve -- Whitley Manufacturing Co, Inc. announces its recognition and award at the Modular Building Institute's 2020 World of Modular convention in Orlando, Florida, for its outstanding efforts on a recent permanent modular firehouse & community center project.

The award for "Modular Assembly – Under 10,000 sq. ft." category was achieved in conjunction with Modular Genius on a fire station and community center that utilized a mix of both Whitley's patented UpGrade building system to achieve the large open apparatus bay, as well as traditional modules for the community center and offices.

The 7,374 sq. ft. permanent modular building is located in Browns Mills, New Jersey and was completed in an impressive 95 days, and consists of 10 modules. The community center space features a full kitchen, open meeting room, storage space, ADA restrooms, and shower facilities. The apparatus bay has over 18ft of clearance space to accommodate for truck space and other needs.

Utilizing modular construction allowed the customer freedom to choose a design and layout that complimented the surrounding wooded area on-site while still achieving a reduced timeline of 50% comparative to traditional construction.
