Yonkers, NY ~ Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano proudly announced today that Yonkers City Hall TV has been nominated for a prestigious New York Emmy Award in the category of Public Affairs Series. This marks the second time in the station's 40-year history that it has received such an honor from the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Mayor Spano expressed his gratitude for the nomination, stating, "We are constantly striving to provide our viewers with important information about our city and community. To be recognized by such a distinguished organization for the second time is a source of great pride and accomplishment."

The nomination comes after Yonkers' Communication Department produced a weekly public affairs series titled "Your Yonkers Now" in 2024. The series can be viewed on Yonkers City Hall TV, Optimum Channel 78, Verizon Channel 39, and various social media platforms including Mayor Mike Spano's YouTube channel.

The award ceremony is set to take place on October 11 in New York City. The entire Yonkers community eagerly awaits the results and celebrates this well-deserved recognition for their local television station.
