83% of South Florida Injury Law Firms Are Never Named by AI Assistants, New Index Finds
TelAve News/10908517
Edition 2 of the South Florida PI AI Visibility Index tests ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity on 720 answers. Google review counts did not predict which firms AI recommends; legal directory presence did.
BOCA RATON, Fla. - TelAve -- CitationOS today released Edition 2 of its South Florida Personal Injury AI Visibility Index, which measures which law firms AI assistants recommend when people ask who to call after an accident. Of the 283 personal injury firms Google Maps shows across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, 83% were not named a single time by any of the four assistants tested.
CitationOS asked ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity 60 questions that injury victims ask, three times each with web search enabled. Unlike national surveys, the index starts from one local market and publishes a score for every firm named.
Key findings:
- Morgan & Morgan was the most recommended firm overall. Panter, Panter & Sampedro was in the top ten on all four platforms.

- The assistants disagreed: of 119 firms named, only 18 were named by all four, and 54 by just one.
- Google reviews did not predict AI recommendations. The ten most-recommended firms had fewer reviews (median about 290) than ten strong local firms AI almost never named (about 610).
- Legal directories mattered. The most-recommended firms appeared on more legal directories, and every Perplexity answer that cited sources cited at least one.
- Nearly a third of the firms the assistants named did not fit the question, such as firms with no South Florida office.
"More of the people law firms want to reach are asking an AI assistant, and the assistant answers with a shortlist," said Kivanc Acikgoz, founder of CitationOS. "What decided that shortlist was not a firm's review count. It was what the rest of the web says about the firm."
The full index, methodology and a spreadsheet of every firm: https://www.citationos.ai/research/south-florida-pi-ai-visibility-index-october-2026.html
