9/9 Lynnie's Light for Life Fundraiser for Cancer Health/Women's Wellness
TelAve News/10905274
ST. LOUIS - TelAve -- The St. Louis Jewish Community Center invites the community to attend Lynnie's Light for Life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at its Creve Coeur location. This powerful evening of light and hope will raise funds to support the growth of two vital programs: the Hamsa Wellness Community, the J's cancer support initiative, and Nishmah, the St. Louis Jewish Women's Project.
"Lynnie's Light is a powerful reminder that no one should have to face cancer alone," said Chelsea Leon, director of Hamsa Wellness Community. "This year's theme, 'Hand in Hand, Lifted Together,' reflects the strength, hope, and support we see within our community every day. Together, we will honor those we have lost, celebrate survivors, and remind everyone affected by cancer that they have a community standing beside them."
Anyone looking to support The Hamsa Wellness Community and Nishmah, are welcome at Lynnie's Light for Life. Admission to the fundraiser is entirely free, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and community members, but all donations are appreciated. Donors who make a tribute of $118 or more can honor or remember someone with a "Hand of Support" which will be hung on a collaborative artistic piece at the event, creating a representation of the reason we gather each year – to educate, inspire, and support those in need of a supportive community before, during, and after a cancer diagnosis.
