Adjurn Launches: AI Powered Legal Practice Management Software Built for UK Law Firms

TelAve News/10903073
A practising SRA regulated solicitor has built the platform to give smaller firms the AI, automation and compliance tooling that until now only the largest practices could afford.

LONDON - TelAve -- Founded by a practising, SRA regulated solicitor who runs his own firm, Adjurn combines automatic time tracking, secure cloud storage and electronic signatures with a dual AI engine drawing on both Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT. It brings a level of legal AI capability that until now has meant a six figure contract and a dedicated implementation team to small and mid sized law firms across the UK.

Adjurn, legal practice management software built specifically for small and mid sized UK law firms, launches today. It was founded by Can Canko, a practising solicitor of England and Wales who runs his own firm from Newcastle. After 19 years in legal practice, and years of choosing and paying for legal software on the buyer's side of the table, he set out to fix a problem experienced firsthand: legal software that was either too big and too complicated, built for a different country's rules, or simply never designed around how a British law firm actually works.

Adjurn brings matters, time recording, billing, compliance and document management into one system, replacing the separate case management, accounts and storage tools most firms currently run side by side. It pairs that with a dual AI engine powered by both Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT, giving fee earners drafting, research and case support capability that until now has largely belonged to the very largest firms.

"Every piece of software I used as a solicitor had hundreds of functions nobody in the firm ever touched, and the few you actually needed were buried three menus deep," said Canko. "You pay for a hundred buttons and use nine. Fee earners were being sent on training courses to learn software that should have been obvious in the first minute. I was not just using these systems, I was the one signing the invoices for them. Nobody outside the profession was ever going to fix it, so I built it myself."

Adjurn's AI runs on UK infrastructure by default. Prompts and everything the AI produces stay in the country unless a firm's own administrator decides otherwise, and firms can hold their documents on UK servers too.

Adjurn is legal practice management software built for UK law firms, bringing matters, time, billing, compliance and AI together in one platform. It is designed and tested by practising lawyers and operated by Acrolith Systems Ltd.
