Amazon Makes Its First ESSENCE Festival Appearance with Purple Exhibits

NEW ORLEANS - TelAve -- Amazon made its first-ever appearance at the 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture, selecting Purple Exhibits as its trusted partner to design, fabricate, and deliver an immersive brand experience at one of the largest cultural festivals in the United States.
Welcoming more than 500,000 attendees, the ESSENCE Festival of Culture has become one of the country's premier destinations for entertainment, innovation, culture, and brand engagement. For its inaugural festival experience, Amazon set out to create an activation that was more than a booth—it was a destination where visitors could discover, interact with, and experience multiple parts of the Amazon ecosystem in an engaging and memorable way.
Working closely with Amazon's team, Purple Exhibits transformed that vision into reality through a fully custom-designed experiential environment. From the first concept and engineering drawings to in-house fabrication, logistics, installation, and final on-site execution, Purple Exhibits managed every stage of the project to ensure a flawless launch.
Designed as an immersive walk-through experience, the activation guided visitors through multiple interactive environments, each highlighting a different Amazon experience. Guests explored dedicated spaces featuring Prime Video, Amazon Live, Alexa, and additional Amazon experiences before arriving at a vibrant community-inspired gathering space that encouraged guests to relax, engage, and continue exploring the brand.

The thoughtfully planned layout encouraged a natural flow throughout the activation, creating an inviting environment that welcomed a continuous stream of visitors and showcased how experiential design can transform a brand into a memorable live experience.
