"Summer is a dangerous time for teen drivers because they're often behind the wheel in unfamiliar situations—busier roads, peer pressure, and changing weather patterns," said Maria Wojtczak, Owner of DrivingMBA. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identifies motor vehicle crashes as the leading cause of death for teens ages 16 to 19. This age group has a fatal crash rate nearly three times higher than that of drivers 20 and older.
