BALTIMORE, Sept. 3, 2025 ~ Baltimore, MD- On Tuesday, NWN, a leading AI-powered Technology Solutions Provider, Intel Corporation and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott came together to officially open the world's first AI Computer Resource Lab at the Greenmount Recreation Center. This innovative lab, created in partnership with Baltimore Recreation and Parks, aims to provide youth and seniors with access to cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools and training.
Equipped with advanced AI PCs powered by Intel and fully managed by NWN, the lab is designed as a community hub for digital learning, career readiness, and innovation. It is expected to serve thousands of Baltimore residents.
The collaboration between NWN and Intel is driven by their shared vision of investing in digital equity, workforce development, and student engagement to create a brighter future for the entire community.
Jim Sullivan, President & CEO of NWN expressed his pride in bringing cutting-edge AI technology and training directly to the Baltimore community. He stated that the lab represents more than just access to powerful tools but also empowers students and seniors with the skills they need to thrive in a digital world.

Mayor Brandon Scott also shared his excitement about this new addition to the city. "The City of Baltimore already has a relationship with NWN and it is nice to see that expanding to work with our recreation centers and youth," he said. "This lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology that our youth and community members deserve. Residents will be able to access this resource right in their neighborhood at no cost to them."
He further added that this initiative will bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for learning, education, and job training for the residents of Baltimore.
Andrew Gilman, Chief Marketing Officer of NWN highlighted how their journey began several years ago with a bold idea of using AI to modernize the city's 911 system. This project sparked a deeper commitment towards the community which led them to host the world's first AI Athletics day last summer. And now, with this collaboration with Baltimore Recreation and Parks, they are proud to unveil a space where young people and the broader community can explore the future.

Gilman also emphasized that this lab is powered by NWN's AI-driven technology portfolio and is designed to make advanced skills and digital creativity accessible to everyone. He encouraged the East Baltimore community to use this lab as their space to learn, build, and imagine.
Sarah Kemp, Vice President of International Government Affairs at Intel Corporation, expressed her pride in collaborating with NWN to bring AI skills to communities across Baltimore. She stated that by combining the power of their AI PCs with hands-on learning, they are making AI more accessible and inclusive.
