BandwidthX Announces New Service Offering
TelAve News/10653331
XpacityONE creates a new dimension in mobile network efficiency
CARLSBAD, Calif. - TelAve -- BandwidthX has launched a new offering called XpacityONE. The solution is a new addition to the company's Xpacity platform, which is a cloud service that maximizes the utilization of existing mobile network capacity.
XpacityONE tailors its service to single mobile operator networks (MNOs). It unlocks existing network capacity by harnessing cloud computing to optimize mobile traffic distribution across all frequency bands in a network. By calculating a combination of handover parameters across the entire network, XpacityONE can effectively move capacity from cells with a low load to high load areas where it is needed. This creates significant capacity and throughput improvements as well as opportunities for dramatic CapEx and OpEx savings. Tier 1 MNO pilot studies of the service are currently ongoing in several cities.

"We are very pleased to announce our latest solution, XpacityONE. The service substantially reduces costs and improves network performance within a mobile operator's own network," said CEO Dr. Pertti Visuri. "In general, network capacity is inherently underutilized. This is especially true in networks with multiple frequency layers deployed. By maximizing the utilization of existing capacity, XpacityONE enables MNOs to meet demand growth without LTE expansion costs."
Xpacity offers solutions for both individual MNOs and overlapping MNO networks. Its previously launched solution, now called XpacityMULTI, takes the service to the next level by expanding the optimization across two or more mobile operators and more than doubling the savings. The platform leverages powerful multi-dimensional algorithms to find optimal combinations of handover parameters. The result is a more effective baseline network configuration, which enables existing optimization tools to do an even better job. This translates into significant performance improvements and savings for the MNOs.
