~ The intersection of Kirkwood Avenue and Rogers Street will become a four-way stop beginning Monday, October 5, as crews replace its traffic signal and improve curb ramps.

The current signal has reached the end of its useful life and has experienced reliability problems. Its replacement will meet current safety standards and best practices, according to the project announcement.

Drivers should stop in all directions, use caution and allow extra travel time. Weather permitting, the new signal is expected to be operating by October 24. Other work in the surrounding area may continue after it is activated.
