Bloomington Urban Enterprise Association to Support Seven Enterprise Zone Business Participants for New "Builder's Room" AI Business Cohort

~ Bloomington, IN- On Tuesday, August 4th at 6 p.m., Amplify Bloomington and the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an information session at The Mill classroom located at 642 N. Madison St. The purpose of this session is to introduce a new program called The Builder's Room.

The Bloomington Urban Enterprise Association (BUEA) is providing support for seven spots in the cohort, which will be located within the Bloomington Urban Enterprise Zone. This program aims to assist local businesses in utilizing AI-assisted tools to solve real operational challenges.

The Builder's Room is specifically designed for established businesses in the Bloomington area who are looking to go beyond just being aware of AI technology and actually develop practical tools. No coding or technical experience is required to participate in this program. Participants will have the opportunity to identify a specific business challenge, map out workflows, and prototype a tool that can support their operations.

Some potential project areas that may be addressed during this program include customer intake forms, AI-assisted FAQ or chatbot tools, marketing and website visibility improvements, internal dashboards, staff training tools, inventory or back-office workflows, customer follow-up systems, and automations for repetitive tasks.

During the information session on August 4th, attendees will learn more about The Builder's Room program including its target participants, suitable businesses, learning outcomes, time commitment required, application process and tips for developing a strong project idea. Business owners who are facing operational challenges such as repetitive tasks, customer communication issues or marketing and visibility problems are highly encouraged to attend this session.

The Builder's Room is a free program that has been made possible through grant funding and does not require any developer resources or coding skills from participants. Over the course of six weeks, participants will learn how to create simple tools that can save time and improve efficiency within their business operations. The program will conclude with a community showcase.

All sessions for The Builder's Room will be held in The Mill classroom. The key dates for this program are as follows: Information Session on Tuesday, August 4th at 6 p.m., Applications Due by Friday, August 7th, Cohort Finalized by Friday, August 14th, and the First Session on Tuesday, September 8th with subsequent sessions being held every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.

The Builder's Room is proudly presented by Amplify Bloomington and the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. Business owners in the Bloomington area are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about AI technology and how it can benefit their operations.
