Phyliss St ~ Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has announced new senior staff appointments as she prepares to begin her second term in office. These appointments include Phyliss St-Hubert as Deputy Chief of Staff of Executive Operations, Beata Coloyan as Deputy Chief of Staff of Strategic Planning, Mohammed Missouri as Executive Director of the Office of Neighborhood Services, Mike Firestone as Corporation Counsel, Kristin McSwain as Chief of Policy and Research, and Ricardo Patrón as Chief of Intergovernmental Relations.

St-Hubert will be responsible for leading the Mayor's office operations, scheduling and advance, and major events across the city. She brings valuable experience to this role, having previously served as Director Of Scheduling & Advance in the Mayor's Office.

Coloyan will lead and coordinate departmental planning efforts, manage key initiatives, and oversee stakeholder engagement in her role as Deputy Chief of Staff of Strategic Planning. She previously served as Chief of Staff for the Community Engagement Cabinet and Executive Director of Neighborhood Services.

Missouri will serve as the Executive Director of the Office of Neighborhood Services, overseeing a dedicated team and acting as a liaison between City departments and residents. He brings a wealth of experience to this position, having previously served as Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Senior Advisor for Strategy in the Mayor's Office.

Firestone will take on the role of Corporation Counsel, leading the City's Law Department to provide comprehensive legal services to the Mayor, City Council, and City departments. He previously served as Chief of Policy and Strategic Planning in the Mayor's Office. Firestone will succeed Adam Cederbaum who has served in this position for 20 years but will be stepping down early next year to become General Counsel for the Longwood Collective.

McSwain will serve as Chief of Policy and Research, working across cabinets and departments to analyze policy actions that align with Mayor Wu's citywide agenda. She previously served as Senior Advisor and Director of the Office of Early Childhood in the Mayor's Office.

Patrón will serve as Chief of Intergovernmental Relations, coordinating interactions between City government and federal, state, City Council, and other local governments. He brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Mayor's Office and prior to that as Mayor Wu's Press Secretary.

Mayor Wu expressed her gratitude for this team of dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to serve the city. She also acknowledged the challenging times ahead and emphasized the importance of reliable, responsive, and community-connected city services.

Chief of Staff Clare Kelly also praised the new appointments, stating that while staff may be shifting into new roles, their dedication to making Boston safe and welcoming for all residents remains unchanged. With this strong team in place, Mayor Wu's second term is off to a promising start.
