TelAve News/10903111
FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Lee BIA Builders Care has announced that Phillip Ford, longtime executive vice president of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA), has been named executive vice president of the nonprofit. He will continue serving in his current role as executive vice president of Lee BIA.
Since 2005, Lee BIA Builders Care has served as the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee BIA with a mission to provide emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means. While the organizations will continue operating as separate entities with independent boards, Ford's expanded role will strengthen collaboration and impact among both organizations.
As executive vice president of Lee BIA Builders Care, Ford will oversee daily operations, work alongside staff and the board of directors to advance the organization's mission, cultivate partnerships across the building industry and lead fundraising initiatives that will support meaningful home projects for homeowners in need.
"Phillip has been an integral part of Builders Care for many years, and we are thrilled for him to expand his leadership across both organizations," said Annette Nilles, president of the board of directors for Lee BIA Builders Care. "His passion for service and the strong relationships he has built within the construction industry make him an invaluable leader as we continue providing life-changing home repairs for elderly, disabled and financially vulnerable homeowners throughout Lee County."
