California Film and Television Tax Credit awardees secure 79 Emmy nominations

~ The nominees for the 78th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced, and California Film and Television Tax Credit awardees have secured a total of 79 nominations. This impressive number is led by The Pitt, a project that received 25 nominations – the most of any project this year.
Governor Gavin Newsom expressed his pride in California's creative economy and its talented individuals who continue to make the state a global leader in film and television production. He stated, "We're proud to see California Film and Television Tax Credit recipients recognized among this year's Emmy nominees as we continue to invest in the people and productions that make our state the premier destination for film and television."
The Pitt, which airs on HBO Max, received recognition across multiple categories including outstanding drama series, outstanding lead actor in a drama series for Noah Wyle, and outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for Taylor Dearden. Other tax credit recipients also received nominations in various categories such as production design, cinematography, costumes, music, and stunt coordination.

Among the 11 Film & TV Tax Credit awardees nominated for an Emmy this year are Spider-Noir on Amazon Prime Video with 11 nominations including outstanding production design for a narrative period or fantasy program; Fallout on Amazon Prime Video with nine nominations including outstanding fantasy/Sci-Fi costumes; Margo's Got Money Troubles on Apple TV+ with eight nominations including outstanding comedy series; Euphoria on HBO Max with seven nominations including outstanding lead actress in a drama series for Zendaya; Paradise on Hulu with seven nominations including outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for Julianne Nicholson; The Muppet Show on Disney+ with six nominations including outstanding production design for a variety special; The Comeback on HBO Max with two nominations including outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for Lisa Kudrow; All's Fair on Hulu with two nominations including outstanding contemporary hairstyling; The 'Burbs on Peacock with one nomination for outstanding original main title theme music; and The Rookie on ABC/Hulu with one nomination for outstanding stunt coordination for drama programming.
