NEW YORK - TelAve -- Cannoli today introduced **Oi**, a reverse lookup tool that lets authors point people to an external destination even when a service does not allow them to embed a direct link.

Many online services restrict where external links can be embedded. An author may want to point readers to a website, article, video, store, project, or anything else on the web, but have no way to attach the destination directly to the post.

Oi provides another route. The author registers the destination with Cannoli. A reader can then go to 4cannoli.com/oi, enter the identifying information provided with the post, and be directed to the intended destination.

The name comes from Noli, Cannoli's beaver mover, whose customary response when there is something else to move is:

"Oi."
