Casino M8trix Expands Community Investment Through AACSA Partnership
TelAve News/10902157
Partnership supports youth leadership, children and family services, and cultural celebrations
SAN JOSE, Calif. - TelAve -- Casino M8trix, a premier cardroom in San Jose, today announced a new partnership with the African American Community Service Agency (AACSA), furthering its commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen communities and expand opportunities for residents of Santa Clara County. The partnership has already supported several of AACSA's programs this year, including the 45th Annual Juneteenth in the Streets Festival, the AACSA Leadership Academy Youth Town Hall, and the year-long AACSA Leadership Academy (ALA), reflecting Casino M8trix's long-standing commitment to investing in organizations that strengthen San Jose and have a lasting impact on the community.
For nearly five decades, AACSA has been a trusted community anchor, empowering individuals and families through its three core pillars: Education, Community Building and Advocacy. Serving more than 25,000 people annually, the organization supports children, families, youth, and seniors through education, workforce development, family services, and civic engagement programs. Founded in 1978 and approaching its 50th anniversary in 2028, AACSA partners with FIRST 5 Santa Clara County, the Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children's Services (DFCS), and the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) to expand its impact across the region.
"For nearly 50 years, AACSA has worked to create opportunities, strengthen connections, and ensure that individuals and families throughout San Jose and Santa Clara County have access to the resources they need to succeed," said Milan Balinton, Executive Director of the AACSA. "Whether we're helping children and families, preparing young people for their future, creating opportunities for seniors, fostering civic engagement, supporting local businesses, or bringing thousands of community members together through cultural celebrations, our mission has always been rooted in empowering people. Partnerships with organizations like Casino M8trix allow us to expand that impact by investing in people, creating opportunities, and bringing our community together in ways that help build a stronger, more connected San Jose for generations to come."

The partnership continues through support of AACSA's Leadership Academy (ALA), which has graduated more than 150 high school and college students since its launch. Through mentorship, workforce development, AI education, and civic engagement, the academy prepares students for future leadership opportunities while connecting them with internships, professional networks, and community mentors.
Last year's participants secured internships with the City of San Jose and AACSA, earned appointments to local city and county commissions, attended the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., and received more than $20,000 in student stipends. Cohort 9, which launched in June with 39 students, has already secured its first internship placement with the City of San Jose while continuing year-round leadership and workforce development programming.
"Supporting nonprofit organizations that strengthen San Jose is an important part of Casino M8trix's long-standing commitment to the community we've proudly called home for more than two decades," said Rob Lindo, Vice President and Director of Casino M8trix. "Organizations like AACSA are doing important work, helping young people build leadership skills, supporting families, and creating opportunities that extend well beyond any one program or event. We're proud to support that work because investing in organizations with a lasting impact is one of the ways we can contribute to the long-term success of our community."
As AACSA looks toward its 50th anniversary in 2028, the organization continues expanding opportunities through workforce development, AI education, civic leadership, and strategic community partnerships. Casino M8trix is proud to support that vision as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in organizations that help San Jose thrive.
