City of Colorado Springs to close Friday for scheduled furlough day and Monday for Labor Day

~ Colorado Springs, CO - The City of Colorado Springs will experience some closures in the upcoming days due to a scheduled furlough day and the observance of Labor Day. The Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 7.

According to city officials, most administrative departments will not be open for regular business on these dates. However, emergency services such as the police and fire departments, as well as the 911 call center, will continue to operate and respond as usual on both days.

City enterprises that are self-funded will remain open on Friday. Residents and businesses are advised to plan accordingly for any services that require in-person visits or administrative support.

The closure details are listed below:

Closed both Friday and Monday:

- City Administration Building

- City Clerk

- City Hall

- Municipal Court

- Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Administrative Building

- Sales Tax Office

- Sports Office at Memorial Park

- Westside Community Center

- Deerfield Hills Community Center

- Sertich Ice Center

- Hillside Community Center

The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum will be open on Saturday and Sunday but closed on Monday. The Helen Hunt Falls Visitor Center is also closed for the season.

The closures are due to the scheduled furlough day and the observance of Labor Day, which is a national holiday in the United States.
