Climate Green Melbourne Launches "Cheaper Home Batteries Program" to Make Solar Storage
TelAve News/10878030
Climate Green has become one of Victoria's most trusted names in renewable energy and electrification.
HORSHAM, Australia - TelAve -- Climate Green Melbourne, a fully accredited provider under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) scheme, is excited to introduce the Cheaper Home Batteries Program — an initiative designed to make solar battery installations more affordable for households and small businesses across Victoria.
This new federal program, administered through the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), provides upfront rebates to help Australians transition to clean, renewable energy. Eligible customers can now receive up to 30% off the total cost of a new battery installation, with savings of up to $18,500 per system, depending on size and capacity.
"This program gives Melbourne homeowners a real opportunity to reduce their power bills and take control of their energy future," said Ravi Regmi, spokesperson for Climate Green Melbourne. "By combining solar panels and battery storage, families can enjoy cleaner, more reliable power — while making a meaningful step toward sustainability."

Under the scheme, the rebate is applied directly at the time of installation through Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs). This means customers get their discount immediately — with no delays or lengthy paperwork.
The current rebate value sits at around $372 per kWh of battery capacity and applies to systems between 5kWh and 50kWh. Both residential and commercial properties are eligible, and the rebate can be combined with existing Solar Victoria incentives, offering homeowners even greater savings.
Program Highlights:
