DENVER ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Polis has appointed Kristen M. M. Tarrin to the Dolores County Court in the 22nd Judicial District. This appointment comes after the previous judge, Honorable Ian J. MacClaren, was appointed to the Montezuma County Court.

Ms. Tarrin brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as a Magistrate in the 22nd Judicial District since 2023. In this position, she has presided over cases involving domestic and juvenile matters. Additionally, Ms. Tarrin has held various positions at McLaughlin Tarrin Law, LLC since 2021, including Child and Family Investigator, Guardian ad Litem, Attorney, and Mediator.

Prior to her current roles, Ms. Tarrin worked as a Child and Family Investigator from 2020-2021 and as a Mediator from 2010-2021 at Pitler and Associates, P.C. She also served as an Associate Attorney at the same firm from 2007-2021.

Ms. Tarrin's impressive education includes a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1991 and a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2006.

Her appointment is effective immediately and she is ready to serve the community of Dolores County with her extensive legal background and expertise in family law matters.
