Columbia: Interested parties meeting regarding traffic calming on Whitegate Drive to be held Dec. 4

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ A recent traffic study in Columbia, MO has revealed that Whitegate Drive is experiencing higher than desirable vehicle speeds. In response, the City's Public Works department has announced an upcoming open house meeting to discuss potential traffic calming measures for the area.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4 from 6-7 p.m. at the Reentry Opportunity Center (ROC) on Towne Drive. City engineering staff will be present to provide information and answer any questions from the public. Attendees will also have access to diagrams and other materials related to the project.

For those unable to attend in person, the City has created a website at BeHeard.CoMo.gov/Whitegate-Drive-traffic-calming where information and updates can be found. Public comments will be accepted at the meeting and can also be submitted through the website until Dec. 31. These comments will be taken into consideration as designs for traffic calming are developed.
