Columbia Police arrest ATM "jackpotting" suspect

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police have made an arrest in connection to a series of ATM "jackpotting" incidents. On November 26, 42-year-old Antoni Jesus Garcia-Cordoba from North Carolina was taken into custody on a warrant for his involvement in the thefts.

According to multiple police departments from other states, Garcia-Cordoba was a suspect in several ATM thefts. The Pennsylvania State Police informed Columbia Police that Garcia-Cordoba had stopped in the area, leading detectives to locate and arrest him at a short-term rental.

After obtaining a search warrant for the residence, detectives were able to find evidence linking Garcia-Cordoba to the scheme. The Columbia Police Department expressed their gratitude to the Pennsylvania State Police for their assistance in apprehending Garcia-Cordoba and potentially preventing further thefts from local businesses and other potential victims.
