Columbia: SAVE-A-LIFE: Naloxone education and distribution event to be hosted at Compass Health McCambridge Center

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ COLUMBIA, MO - Compass Health and the Boone County Overdose Response Coalition have joined forces to host a SAVE-A-LIFE event on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the Compass Health McCambridge Center. The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Flower & Fields Conference Room and aims to educate and distribute Naloxone, also known as Narcan®, a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

SAVE-A-LIFE is a monthly series of free events that focus on educating community members on how they can help prevent overdose deaths from painkillers like fentanyl by using naloxone nasal spray. This event does not require registration and all attendees will have access to a personal supply of naloxone.

Thanks to this collaboration, Narcan® will be available at no cost to participants.
