Columbia: Single lane closures on East Broadway near College Avenue for pavement repairs, July 21-23

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Public Works Street division will be conducting repairs on a section of East Broadway near College Avenue starting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21. The deteriorated pavement will be fixed in the two westbound lanes, with one lane remaining open to traffic at all times while the other is being repaired.
According to officials, crews will begin with the left westbound lane before shifting traffic and working on the right lane. Motorists are advised to follow temporary traffic signs and expect delays. They are also encouraged to use East Walnut Street as an alternate route.

Drivers are reminded to exercise caution and reduce speeds when passing through the work zone. If weather conditions permit and construction progresses smoothly, repairs are expected to be completed by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22. However, if more time is needed, work may continue until Thursday, July 23.
The City of Columbia urges residents to plan their routes accordingly and apologize for any inconvenience caused by these necessary repairs.
