Local nonprofit offers free, confidential crisis intervention, emotional support and community resource referrals throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties
TOMS RIVER, N.J. - TelAve -- For individuals experiencing a difficult moment, feeling overwhelmed or simply needing someone to talk to, CONTACT of Ocean & Monmouth Counties is there to listen. CONTACT of Ocean & Monmouth Counties is a nonprofit organization providing free, confidential crisis intervention, emotional support and community resource referrals to individuals throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties, New Jersey. Through its 24/7 crisis intervention hotline and community-based programs, CONTACT connects people with compassionate support when they need it most.
At the heart of the organization is its 24-hour crisis intervention hotline, staffed by trained telephone listeners who provide a confidential, judgment-free space for callers to talk through life's challenges. Whether someone is experiencing emotional distress, loneliness, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties or another personal crisis, CONTACT's trained volunteers are available to listen and provide support.

CONTACT also helps individuals and families navigate local services through First Call for Help, a community resource and referral program that connects callers with information about available resources in Ocean and Monmouth Counties. By helping people identify appropriate local services, CONTACT serves as an important connection between community members and the support available to them.
In addition, CONTACT's Senior Reassurance Calling Program provides scheduled telephone calls to older adults who may live alone or benefit from regular social connection. These calls offer companionship, reassurance and a consistent connection for seniors in the community.
For decades, CONTACT of Ocean & Monmouth Counties has remained committed to the belief that compassionate listening can make a meaningful difference. Its services are made possible by trained volunteers who give their time to answer calls, provide emotional support and help individuals feel heard during challenging moments.
