Courtney and Richard Duran Celebrate Home Helpers Home Care of Aberdeen's First Anniversary
TelAve News/10820885
ABERDEEN, N.C. - TelAve -- Richard and Courtney Duran are excited to celebrate the first anniversary of their in-home care company – Home Helpers Home Care of Aberdeen.
"In the year since we've launched, we've met some truly amazing people and have had a lot of fun. There's a wonderful pool of caregivers in this area who have a wealth of knowledge and experience and we've been able to show them that they are valued and that their role in our community is important," Courtney said. "We're looking forward to a bright future working with individuals and families and helping people continue to live safely and comfortably wherever they call home."
Home Helpers Home Care offers the industry's leading model for comprehensive care with its unique care program, Cared-4SM, which provides the four necessary components to living independently. This includes Personal Care and Companionship, Nutrition and Meal Planning, 24/7 Emergency Response, and Wellness Calls to help ensure medications and hydration are maintained.
Richard served in the United States Marine Corps for 12 years and, during that time, Courtney worked in health care as a military spouse. When they settled in North Carolina and Courtney started working as a local paramedic, she and Richard quickly realized their new neighbors didn't have access to the same kind of resources and care services that had been available in other communities.

"Home Helpers is not a cookie cutter program or a placement service where we just send a caregiver to your house. We work with each individual and each family to create a care plan that suits their individual needs and budget, understanding that those will change as their needs change. From meal preparation to 24/7 monitoring to wellness checks, we are here to improve the lives of the people in our community," Courtney said. "And we don't just work with seniors – we work with veterans, people with special needs and new moms too."
