~ The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment (SLATE) is pleased to announce the highly anticipated return of their 4th Annual Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair. This event series offers a unique opportunity for job seekers to connect with companies hiring for both seasonal and permanent positions during the busy holiday season.

The Holly Jolly Holiday Hiring Fair will take place at SLATE's first-floor conference room, located at 1520 Market Street, on various dates from October to December. The fair will run from 9 a.m. to noon on October 28, November 6, November 13, November 21, and December 6. Admission is free for all attendees.

Job seekers can expect to meet with employers from a variety of industries including healthcare, transportation, hospitality, education, and customer service. Some employers will even be conducting on-the-spot interviews and making immediate job offers. SLATE staff will also be present to provide information about employment and training opportunities available through the agency.

A number of reputable employers have already committed to attending the fair including AOS Staffing, Sodexo, FedEx, ADB Companies, City of St. Louis, Union Station Hotel, People's Health Center, St. Louis Public Schools, Smiley Manor LLC, Southwest Airlines, Unleashing Potential, Affinia Healthcare, Hope Healthcare Union Manor and St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center (MO DMH). More businesses are expected to join in as the events approach.

SLATE Executive Director Fredrecka McGlown expressed her excitement for the fair stating that in the past three years they have successfully connected hundreds of job seekers with valuable employment opportunities during this event. She emphasized that whether individuals are looking for extra income during the holiday season or a long-term career opportunity, this fair provides an excellent chance to find the right fit.

Paid parking is available at the Kiel Center Garage located behind the building at Clark and 16th. Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes and dress professionally to maximize their chances of securing a job.
