EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. - TelAve -- Dr. Anna Pecoraro has been selected as the new Dr. New Jersey America 2024. Next October, she will compete for the title of Dr. America. Dr. World Productions produces the Dr. World ® (ages 21+*), Dr. America ® (ages 21-45*), Dr. United States of America ® (ages 46+*) and Ms. Achievement® World/U.S.A. (ages 21+*) competitions and Because…Smart is Beautiful ® professional development workshops and events. The state titleholders will compete during the week of October 19, 2024. During the week before crowning, the selection panel will review submitted photos, resumes/CVs, and field presentations & eveningwear videos, which must be produced by the titleholders without professional assistance. The competition week will conclude with live synchronous virtual panel interviews on Saturday morning followed by a virtual awards and crowning ceremony on Sunday, October 20, 2024, which may be viewed on Facebook live.

The new Dr. New Jersey America 2024, Dr. Anna Pecoraro, Psy.D., R.N., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Registered Nurse. She earned her master's and doctorate in clinical psychology at Widener University and completed a NRSA addictions post-doctoral fellowship at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. She specializes in addictions, trauma, and spiritual distress and sees seminarians, clergy, and prison inmates, among many others. She is an Associate Professor and Dissertation Chair at the Institute for the Psychological Sciences, a classical vocalist with a B.Mus. from
