Board-certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Dr. Jennifer Gonzales assumes physician leadership of Hospice of South Texas's medical team.
VICTORIA, Texas - TelAve -- Hospice of South Texas, the region's only nonprofit hospice, announces the appointment of Dr. Jennifer Gonzales as its new Medical Director.
Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Dr. Gonzales has served Hospice of South Texas for many years as Associate Medical Director. In her new role, she will provide physician leadership and medical oversight, ensuring continuity of compassionate, patient-centered hospice care for patients and families throughout South Texas.
Dr. Gonzales succeeds longtime Medical Director Dr. Ty Meyer, ensuring a seamless transition in physician leadership while continuing Hospice of South Texas's commitment to exceptional patient care.

"Dr. Gonzales has been a trusted member of our medical team for many years, and I am pleased to welcome her as our Medical Director," said Laurie Eder, Chief Executive Officer. "Her clinical expertise, compassionate approach, and commitment to our mission make her an outstanding leader as we continue serving patients and families throughout our communities."
Dr. Gonzales leads an experienced medical team that includes Associate Medical Directors Dr. Arun Jain, Dr. Kody Selzer, and Dr. Donald Kocurek, along with full-time Nurse Practitioner Kathleen Johnson. Together, they provide physician leadership and medical oversight for Hospice of South Texas's interdisciplinary care teams, ensuring patients receive expert, compassionate care wherever they call home, including the Dornburg Center of Compassion.
As the region's only nonprofit hospice and the only local hospice to earn the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Five-Star Quality Rating, Hospice of South Texas remains committed to providing exceptional end-of-life care and support to patients and families across the communities it serves.
