KEARNY, N.J. - TelAve -- Kearny, NJ — FLAIRR Safety, LLC has officially launched Guardian™, a dual-power, tri-color LED road flare engineered specifically for police, fire, DOT, tow, and utility fleets. The rugged traffic safety product was developed by company founder Danny Vartan, a 25-year veteran firefighter based in Northeast New Jersey.

Guardian is a 7-inch tall, IP66-rated electronic road flare designed as a durable, reusable alternative to traditional burning road flares. It provides critical 360-degree high intensity emergency warning coverage using tri-color Red, Yellow, and Blue LEDs, which users can operate individually or in dual and tri-color combinations depending on emergency scene requirements.

The Guardian's dual-power system doesn't force fleet operators to choose between rechargeable or alkaline models, as it can operate using the included 26650 rechargeable LiFePO4 battery or four standard AA alkaline batteries interchangeably. This allows operators to seamlessly switch to backup alkaline batteries in the field if charging infrastructure is unavailable, such as in the wake of severe storms.

Each Guardian unit comes standard with a strong magnetic battery cap for instant mounting to vehicles or steel guardrails, a removable rubber base plate for stability, and a built-in top-facing flashlight. This flashlight can also work in unison with the side facing LEDs to project light upward to illuminate 28 inch and 36 inch tall traffic cones from within.

Guardian is available with optional FlairrLINK™ upgrade. This feature allows multiple LED flares to communicate wirelessly and flash in sequential or synchronized flash patterns, creating an even clearer visual path for motorists. This proprietary system includes a self-healing feature: if a single or multiple units miss a color or pattern change due to temporary interference, they will automatically re-sync within five seconds without requiring manual resetting by first responders.

Guardian is available as a single unit or in 3, 4, or 5-flare deployment bags. Each Guardian flare in the kit includes a rechargeable 26650 LiFePO4 battery, USB-C charging cable, AA battery holder, rubber base plate, and magnetic battery cap. An important feature of the storage bag is its five pockets on the underside of the lid which allow for the storage of extra battery packs.
