Georgia: Gov. Kemp: Grupo Vialume Creates 150 New Manufacturing Jobs in Colquitt-Miller County
TelAve News/10883484
ATLANTA ~ In a major economic development announcement, Governor Brian P. Kemp revealed that Grupo Vialume, a global manufacturer of advanced visibility solutions for transportation safety, will be investing $4.4 million to establish its U.S. manufacturing operations in Colquitt-Miller County. This move is expected to create 150 new jobs over the course of approximately seven years.
Governor Kemp expressed his excitement about welcoming Grupo Vialume to Georgia, stating that he had met with the company in Brazil over the summer and was impressed by their commitment to sustainability and their strong supplier base in the United States. He also emphasized the positive impact this investment will have on the Colquitt-Miller County community, providing long-term opportunities for hardworking Georgians.
Grupo Vialume, a second-generation family-owned enterprise based in São Paulo, Brazil, has grown into one of the largest global manufacturers of advanced visibility solutions since its founding in the 1980s. Its flagship business, Vialume, is recognized as one of the top five manufacturers worldwide and is Brazil's largest producer of reflective raised pavement markers.

CEO João Paulo Moura expressed his enthusiasm for expanding their manufacturing footprint into Colquitt and cited several factors that influenced their decision, including the growing demand for sustainable products and attractive tax incentives. He also highlighted the stability of the U.S. dollar and the security of investing in such a strong market as key factors in choosing Colquitt as their location.
The new integrated manufacturing and recycling hub will be located on E. Crawford Street in Colquitt and will produce plastic raised pavement markers and precision-engineered reflective lenses. In addition to these products, Grupo Vialume plans to pioneer new circular-economy processes by transforming previously unrecyclable materials such as textile offcuts and peanut-shell byproducts into high-value products and raw materials.
The company expects upgrades to be completed by 2026 and will be hiring for various positions, including production operators, injection machinists, salespersons, logistics experts, and management roles. Interested individuals can visit the Colquitt-Miller County Chamber of Commerce website for more information on job opportunities.
