FORT MYERS, Fla. - TelAve -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is thrilled to announce that Chief Mission and Development Officer, Carolyn Johnson, is one of five finalists of the prestigious APEX Award by the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce. This distinguished award recognizes a woman who has demonstrated exemplary achievements in business and community service, embodying leadership, mentorship, and significant contributions to the community through philanthropy and other impactful initiatives.

This nomination highlights the significant impact Ms. Johnson has made on Southwest Florida, aligning perfectly with the APEX Award's purpose of celebrating outstanding women in the community. Announcements will be made during the 2025 Greater Fort Myers Chamber Awards and Board Installation event on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center, 1375 Monroe Street, Fort Myers, and beginning at 5:30 p.m.

For more than 27 years, Ms. Johnson has been the heart and soul of Goodwill's mission in Southwest Florida. Her unwavering dedication and visionary leadership have been instrumental in expanding community services and empowering countless individuals to achieve greater independence. Ms. Johnson's commitment extends far beyond her professional role; she consistently demonstrates the very qualities the APEX Award celebrates.
