The celebration, organized by the City of Idaho Falls, promises something for everyone. From the FireKracker 5K run to the largest Fourth of July parade in Idaho, there will be no shortage of patriotic traditions and family-friendly activities. Mayor Lisa Burtenshaw expressed her confidence that this year's celebration will be the best one yet.
"There is something truly special about the way Idaho Falls comes alive on Independence Day," said Mayor Burtenshaw. "Whether you're a first-time visitor or a long-time resident, I invite everyone to come and experience everything our community has to offer."
The day's events kick off with the FireKracker 5K at 7 a.m., benefiting the Idaho Falls Military Affairs Committee. The Chamber Independence Day Parade will follow at 9 a.m., making its way through the heart of Idaho Falls. For those looking for fresh produce and local vendors, the Idaho Falls Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. along the scenic Snake River.
