VANCOUVER, British Columbia - TelAve -- Papaya Play today announced the ninth anniversary of La Tale, its long-running 2D fantasy MMORPG, alongside the June 17 launch of the new episode, "Devil's Whisper" and "Path of Choice." The update delivers a new story chapter, two new dungeons, new items and progression systems, and a series of quality-of-life changes — headlined by the release of more than 71,000 character names previously held by characters deleted long ago.

Nine Years in the World of Iris
First brought to Western players on Papaya Play in 2017, La Tale has spent nearly a decade building a community around its unique pastel art style, fast-paced combinations, and character customization.

New Episode: Devil's Whisper × Path of Choice
The new episode arrives in two phases. "Devil's Whisper" expands the world with a new town and a new field, two new dungeons — one built for 4-player parties and one for 8-player parties — and four new boss monsters to take on. New rewards range from Mythic-grade gear and Mythic Boxes to a new crafting line.

"Path of Choice" continues the update with new progression systems, headlined by Dungeon Points, which give players new ways to turn dungeon play into meaningful progression. Gear growth is expanded further through the updated Special Enchant and Awakening Stone Crafting systems.

Availability
The new episode, "Devil's Whisper" and "Path of Choice," goes live on June 17-18, 2026. La Tale is free to play on Papaya Play and on Steam. The Friend Referral campaign and anniversary events run on the schedule published on the official La Tale website and community channels.
