Mesa: Falcon Field Hosts First Haunted Hangar Family Event

~ Falcon Field Airport is gearing up for a spooky and exciting event this October. The Cockpit Close-up edition for the month will feature the inaugural Haunted Hangar family event, set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Families are invited to join in on the fun at Falcon Field West World War II Hangar, located at 4626 E Fighter Aces Drive. This hangar holds significant historical value as it was established in 1941 as a British training base for cadets during World War II. It also houses vintage aircraft that will be on display during the event.

With Halloween just around the corner, the hangar will be transformed into a spooky yet family-friendly place for everyone to enjoy. Community organizations such as the Education and Workforce Center, Mesa Public Library, Mesa Fire Department, Mesa Police Department, Mesa Solid Waste, Aviation Explorers, Wings of Flight Foundation, Crumble Cookie at Recker and Longbow Pkwy, Halloran Insurance Agency, Self-Development Academy and Chick-fil-A at Power and McKellips will be offering goodies to trick-or-treaters.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes to add to the festive atmosphere. This event is not only a great opportunity for families to enjoy the Halloween season but also learn more about Falcon Field Airport and its rich history. Don't miss out on this exciting event!
