~ Mesa, AZ - The City of Mesa is gearing up to celebrate Love Your City - National Day of Service on Saturday, Sept. 12. In honor of this day, the city will be hosting several volunteer projects throughout the city starting at 7 a.m. and ending before temperatures rise.

Volunteers are invited to participate in various projects including a cleanup at the Mesa Cemetery, reestablishing walkways at the Park of the Canals, deep cleaning at the Mesa Family Resource Center, and repainting a City of Mesa logo on a bridge. These projects aim to improve and beautify different areas of Mesa.

This year, the City of Mesa has partnered with JustServe to combine Love Your City with National Day of Service. This day holds special significance as it falls near 9/11 and serves as a way to honor first responders and remember the unity shown by Americans in the aftermath of the tragic terrorist attacks.

Mesa residents are encouraged to come out and show their love for their city by participating in these volunteer projects on Sept. 12. Let's come together as a community and make a positive impact on our beloved city.
