~ Mesa, AZ- The city of Mesa is inviting all neighborhoods to join in on the America250: Neighborhood Celebration. This nationwide event aims to bring neighbors together through celebrations, activities, and community service. By taking the pledge, neighborhoods can participate in a raffle for a chance to win one of two $250 prizes to support a neighborhood gathering in 2027.

One upcoming eligible activity for the Neighborhood Celebration is Love Your City, Mesa's National Day of Service on September 12th. By participating in a volunteer project on this day, neighborhoods can also enter the raffle by submitting their America250 pledge beforehand.

Already, 23 neighborhoods have taken the pledge to celebrate America250 and five neighborhood celebrations were held during the Fourth of July weekend. "The America250: Neighborhood Celebration is about more than just commemorating our nation's history; it's about strengthening the connections that make Mesa's neighborhoods thrive," said Cynthia Ezcurra, Community Engagement Administrator for the City of Mesa.

Additionally, neighborhoods can check out a "Party in the Box" which includes fun and engaging activities for both youth and adults to help make every celebration a success.

To be eligible for the $250 raffle, neighborhoods must submit their America250: Neighborhood Celebration pledge at least two weeks before their planned gathering and successfully complete the event.
