Meyers Achieves Recertification Under SGP Standards
TelAve News/10884136
MINNEAPOLIS - TelAve -- Meyers of Minneapolis has successfully completed recertification under the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) certification framework. Meyers — a family-owned manufacturer of folding cartons, pressure‐sensitive labels, instant redeemable coupons (IRCs), RFID solutions and conductive-ink printed electronics for major brands in the food & beverage, health & beauty and sports & outdoors markets — joins the select group of print/packaging facilities independently verified against industry-leading sustainability standards. Meyers serves as a production partner for prominent consumer brands and retailers from its Minneapolis facility.
Meyers continues to advance its environmental performance through a mix of energy, materials and process improvements. The company powers its facility with carbon free electricity, has invested in UV LED curing systems to reduce energy use and supports responsible forestry through fiber recovery and offset initiatives. Meyers also offers recyclable and wash off label materials and prioritizes packaging designs that reduce waste and improve end-of-life outcomes. These efforts reflect a sustained, organization-wide commitment to lowering environmental impact across its operations and product lines.

Our work in areas like energy use, renewable power and responsible materials supports the goals of our customers and our own long-term commitments. This recertification reinforces that focus and the value of making steady progress."
Birdley James, Chair of the SGP Board of Directors, commented, "Meyers' recertification reflects the value of the SGP framework and the importance of verified sustainability practices in print and packaging. Their ongoing commitment gives brands, procurement teams and the wider SGP community confidence that meaningful progress in environmental performance is both achievable and essential."
