Midwest Compressor Systems Opens Midland Field Service Location

Permian Basin expansion extends service reach for oil and gas operators across West Texas
MIDLAND, Texas - TelAve -- Midwest Compressor Systems, LLC, a natural gas compression company headquartered in Pampa, Texas, has opened a field service location in Midland, Texas, at 3017 W. County Road 137, Midland, TX 79706.
The Midland location positions Midwest to provide faster, more direct support to Permian Basin operators who rely on gas compression, electric-drive skids, and vapor recovery units to keep production running. The new facility expands the company's ability to deploy equipment, respond to service calls, and maintain units across West Texas with the same standard of care it has delivered across six states since 1980.
"The Permian Basin has been a growing part of our business, and having a dedicated presence in Midland means we can serve those operators the way they deserve to be served," said David Abshire, owner of Midwest Compressor Systems. "Less time in transit. Faster response. More eyes on the equipment."

The Midland office supports Midwest's broader push to extend its electric-drive skid capabilities in a region where operators are actively making the shift from gas-powered to electric compression. Electric-drive units eliminate diesel fuel costs, reduce routine maintenance, and lower operating expenses on multi-month and long-term installations. For Permian operators managing tight margins and growing regulatory expectations, the economics are straightforward.
The new location also reflects Midwest's ongoing commitment to customer service and field transparency. The company operates a fleet of more than 400 active compression units and maintains a standard of 24-to 48-hour service response across its operating areas. Technicians at the Midland location will handle startups, preventative maintenance, and field service for the West Texas region.
Midwest Compressor Systems is a privately held compression services company founded in 1980. The company fabricates and services gas and electric-drive compression packages, vapor recovery units, and related wellsite equipment across Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Kansas.
