Naperville: Structure Fire in the 1100 Block of North Mill Street

NAPERVILLE, Ill. ~ On Tuesday, June 23, at 11:52 a.m., the Naperville Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a 911 call regarding a possible fire at a structure on North Mill Street. The ECC quickly dispatched a general alarm assignment, which included three engines, two ladder trucks, two medic units, one heavy rescue, and two battalion commanders.
Upon arrival, the responding units conducted a thorough survey of the structure and reported their findings to establish command. However, there were no visible signs of fire from the exterior. Upon entering the building, it was discovered that the fire had already been extinguished before the arrival of the fire suppression teams. Thankfully, there was no need for evacuation as all occupants were safe.

The Naperville Fire Department was joined by the Naperville Police Department on the scene to assist with operations. The estimated damage is $1,000 and an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Despite this incident, the building remains habitable and there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
