CHANDLER, Ariz. - TelAve -- What happens after a life-changing spiritual experience when ordinary life resumes?

In Is There More? The Call and a Fifty-Year Journey from Awakening to Coherence, author and systems feeler Zen Benefiel revisits an extraordinary experience he had at eighteen and what fifty-one years of living with it taught him.

As a pre-med student in 1975, Benefiel experienced what he perceived as infinite intelligence and interconnected consciousness, culminating with two words:

"Trust and allow."

Yet the book does not ask readers to believe his interpretation.

"The more important question became: Did the experience make me more capable of serving?" Benefiel says.

Is There More? follows his journey from an adopted child's search for belonging through spiritual awakening, relationships, professional life, organizational transformation, and a growing understanding of coherence.

Its title comes from the question Benefiel asked during his original experience:

"Is there more?"
