According to Slome, the comparison goes beyond the basic question of where each company travels. It examines issues including trip style, solo travel opportunities, educational and cultural experiences, and potential savings for repeat travelers.

"One factor that can easily be overlooked is what happens after you take your first trip," Slome says. "OAT provides a Frequent Traveler Credit that can be applied toward the cost of another trip. For someone who travels frequently, a credit based on the trip price can become a significant savings."
