GREEN BAY, Wis. - TelAve -- Sharing the experiences that come with retirement from a demanding corporate career is the basis of a book by first-time author Paul Novotny, who turned his correspondence with family and friends into a memoir entitled Letters from Afar: Memories and Musings from the Road (M&B Global Solutions Inc.)

Novotny fashioned a successful career as a financial executive with a large cheese supplier in Wisconsin (of course). The lifelong Green Bay resident and his wife decided to spread their wings after his retirement, hitting the road in a newly purchased recreational vehicle and pursuing a lifestyle not feasible during his working career.

Describing Novotny as an extrovert who enjoys discovering people and places outside of his Wisconsin home base is an understatement. Part travelogue and part philosophical musings, Novotny's Letters from Afar provide a thoughtful and, at times, humorous glimpse into the travel experiences that served as a postscript to his working career as they took their home on the road.
