Leadership specialist supports expatriates and families facing cultural transitions, belonging and identity challenges.
ORLANDO, Fla. - TelAve -- ORLANDO, FL — August 2026 — Leadership and human relations specialist Patricia Mafra expands her work supporting Brazilians who live internationally, including expatriates, professionals and families navigating the emotional, cultural and relational challenges of building a life between countries.
With more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources, Patricia has accompanied individuals through moments of transition, conflict, decision-making and professional reinvention. Her approach combines executive experience, academic training and the personal perspective of someone who has rebuilt her own life and career in the United States.
Patricia is a lawyer, certified Ombudsman by Febraban, specialist in Conflict Management, holds an MBA in Administration from Ibmec-Insper, an MBA in Leadership Management from the University of Miami, training in Leadership Psychology from Cornell University, and certification as a Couple, Family and Group Therapist by ITF-MG.

Living in the United States for 12 years, Patricia understands that international relocation involves much more than a change of address or language. Throughout this journey, she rebuilt her professional path, founded companies, integrated her family into American culture and experienced firsthand many of the challenges faced by Brazilians creating a new life abroad.
"Moving to another country is not only about adapting to a new environment. Many people need to rebuild their references, identity, relationships and sense of belonging," says Patricia Mafra.
Her professional experience includes being co-founder of Lioz Executive Search, exclusive licensee of the Miami chapter of DisruptHR, an international movement focused on innovation in Human Resources, and co-founder and CFO of Parasol Storytelling, a production company recognized for editorial projects, branded content and podcasts.
Her personal journey has also shaped her work. As a cancer survivor who completed treatment in the United States during the pandemic, Patricia gained a deeper understanding of healthcare systems, education, career transitions and the business environment in the country.

Patricia emphasizes that her work is not based on standardized programs, personality tests or ready-made formulas. Each process is built around the individual, couple or family's history, context and specific challenges.
"I don't teach people how to move to another country. My work begins after the suitcases are unpacked, when deeper questions emerge: Who am I now? How do I preserve my identity? How do I build a new chapter without erasing my story?"
Her work addresses topics such as belonging, cultural adaptation, family dynamics, relationships between generations, couples, leadership, entrepreneurship, career decisions and the complexities of living between cultures.
Sessions are available in person in Orlando, Florida, and remotely for clients in different locations.
