Patton's New 28-port Industrial Switch Boasts All-in-One Standard Copper Ethernet, Power-over-Ethernet, Ethernet-over-Fiber and SFP Interfaces
TelAve News/10826072
The FP2024E IP30 Industrial Ethernet Switch sets a new standard for reliability, performance, and versatility.
GAITHERSBURG, Md. - TelAve -- FiberPlex . . . Secure Digital Communications
Patton—global provider of cutting-edge Ethernet solutions since 1984—is proud to unveil the latest addition to its lineup of industrial multiport Ethernet switches: Introducing the FiberPlex FP2024E with four Ethernet interface flavors in one device.
Flexible Connectivity: Providing copper, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP), and fiber Ethernet interfaces—in a ruggedized, fully-manageable, layer-3, Industrial Ethernet switch—the FP2024E provides unsurpassed flexibility for industrial network connectivity.
Rugged: The FP2024E 28-port Industrial Grade Gigabit PoE+ Managed Ethernet Switch comes in a rugged IP30-rated enclosure, ideal for Industrial Ethernet and Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT).

Versatile: The switch is designed to meet the demanding requirements of such harsh environments as industrial automation, IIoT, automotive, railway, and maritime transportation, oil/gas, utilities, security, and medical networks.
"As industries continue to implement network transformations and expand automation, the demand for robust network infrastructure is growing," said Burton A. Patton, Chief Revenue Officer at Patton, "especially for mission-critical applications.
"In response to this burgeoning demand, Patton has developed the FP2024E with cutting-edge features tailored for industrial applications," Burt said.
Durable: Built to withstand extreme temperatures, humidity, and vibrations, the FP2024E is designed for reliable uninterrupted operation in harsh environments.
Layer 2 Switching: Equipped with advanced Layer-2 switching, the FP2024E enables efficient data transport and network management, ensuring optimum performance with minimal latency.
High-Speed Connectivity: Supporting Gigabit Ethernet, the device delivers high-speed connectivity for such bandwidth-intensive applications as video surveillance, industrial automation, and IIoT.

Redundancy: The FP2024E supports Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and EtherChannel redundancy protocols, enabling seamless failover and network recovery in the event of link failure.
Easy Deployment: For easy commissioning and operation, the FP2024E offers a user-friendly web interface (with SNMP) that simplifies network configuration, monitoring, and management.
Comprehensive Security: Built-in access control lists (ACLs), port security, and VLAN segregation safeguard against unauthorized access while providing data integrity and confidentiality. When combined with Patton's SFX SFP Data Diode, the switch can be used in Cross-Domain security scenarios by enabling uni-directional communication between domains.
The FP2024E Industrial Ethernet Switch is now available for pre-order.
In related news, Patton recently announced Tone Commander DOD-Certified, Push-to-Talk, Secure SIP Phones.
